About MFEA

Malaysia Furniture Entrepreneur Association (MFEA) was founded on the 2nd March 2003 by 13 states furniture association in Malaysia.The formation of MFEA is to promote the interest of the Malaysian Furniture Industry in the nationl,regional and international arena.Currently,it has over 4,000 members.

The Vision

To be the prime instrumental body,responsible for nurturing and guiding the development and expansion of the Malaysia Furniture Industry to become one of the top ten furniture exporting countries of the world by 2005.

Objectives

1. To unite all the associations in the furniture manufacturing and trading industry under the umbrella of a national body in order to better protect
their common interest.

2. To promote good relationship and co-operations amongst members and to improve the reputation and image of he furniture industry in the
country.

3. To promote better understanding and good relationship between the Association and other guilds and societies and government authorities.

4. To promote the Malaysia Furniture industry to the international arena,in order to strengthen the national economy and to earn more foreign
exchange.

5. To represent the furniture industry in whatever discussion or negotiation with the Government about issues pertaining to the growth and
development of the industry,including matters concerning import and export.

6. To organize exhibitions,talks, seminars and business tours aimed at raising the standard of Malaysian Furniture.

7. To help in organizing training courses related to the wood-based industry as well as to assist in ssetting up training schools and technical
colleges.

8. To promote all aspects of furniture-related activities which are in line with the interest of the Association and the Nation.
